A St Catherine woman who pleaded guilty to indecent exposure said she was seeking ‘justice’ when she stripped herself at a police station in Portmore, St Catherine.
Nadine Dale of Waterford, Portmore, St Catherine, was entenced to 100 hours community service in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
Facts are that on February 12, Daley was among persons at the station when she started to behave boisterously. The police told her to remain calm, but she continued. She was being restrained by the police when she stripped herself naked.
My child
Daley tried to justify her actions in the name of justice.
“I was not getting any justice so I tek off mi clothes. Mi ongle tek off mi clothes fi get justice for my child who was injured,” Daley said.
She reportedly told the police who attempted to calm her that they could not stop her.
Resident Magistrate Anmarie Nembhard told the accused she should behaved more responsible.
Instead of being fined the prescribed sum of $1,000, she was sentenced to community service.
Daley will have to reappear in the St Catherine Night Court on October 29 to answer to disorderly conduct charges.
