Ward 24 councillor Gedion Mangena in Bulawayo’s Nkulumane constituency has called a meeting with Nkulumane 5 residents to discuss goblins attacks after a number of residents approached him complaining over the attacks by mysterious creatures.
Mangena said the residents from house numbers 1261, 1262, 1263 approached him saying stones thrown by unseen things were attacking their houses almost daily and have destroyed their window panes and asbestos sheets.
“The residents said they were living in fear as they are subjected to those attacks almost daily but could not see who is throwing the stones,” said Mangena.
He said following residents’ report to him he has since approached the police and has organised a meeting with the residents and police to warn would-be owners of the suspected goblins to tell their things to stop tormenting people.
He said the meeting will be held on Sunday 14 June in Nkulumane 5 at 9 am close to house number 1653. He called for all residents to attend the meeting.
He said the problem reportedly started last year when a house was burnt mysteriously and a resident died after alleged attacks by the goblins .
Mangena said despite reports that three houses were under attack but reports say the attacks have spread to several houses in the suburbs.
