The police are now searching for a teenaged boy who allegedly stabbed and killed another teen in Grants Pen, St Andrew, last night.

The deceased teen has been identified as 16-year-old Eric Morris of a Grants Pen Road address.

According to reports from the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Corporate Communications Unit, Morris went to purchase ice cream at a shop in the community when the boy approached him. Eric and the teen had reportedly been involved in a dispute the previous day.

Another argument developed between the two on Sunday night and a knife was reportedly used to stab Eric in the chest.

The police were summoned and Eric taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The boy who is now being sought by the police is believed to be about 14 years old.
