BURN VICTIM YET TO BE TRANSFERRED TO KPH BECAUSE THERE ARE NO BEDS AVAILABLE

Burn victim not yet transferred to KPH due to lack of beds at the facility

One of the three persons who suffered burns following an incident on Saturday in Barbary Hall, St. Elizabeth is facing a challenge in being transported to the Kingston Public Hospital (KPH).

RJR News understands that there has been a delay to transfer the father from Black River Hospital due to a lack of bed space at the KPH.

The other patient, a 27 year old woman who suffered burns to 85 per cent of her body, was transported to the KPH on Sunday.

The third person, a 14 year old child, remains at Black River Hospital.

The three were injured after they were attacked at their home in Stonefield by the woman’s estranged lover who is accused of setting fire to the house.

Her estranged lover, 40 year old man Alvin Francis of Black River, was killed by a mob.
