CUSTOMS WORKER WHOSE NAME WAS ON GUN SHIPMENT HELD

Jevaughnie McKay, the man charged in connection with last month’s seizure of 20 guns and almost 800 rounds of ammunition at Kingston Wharves, was remanded on Thursday when he appeared before the Gun Court in Kingston. He will remain behind bars until his case is again mentioned on November 18. Mr. McKay, who is from Braeton in Portmore, St. Catherine, was charged last week. On February 26, security personnel were examing a container at the terminal when they found the cache of weapons comprising four high powered rifles, a submachine gun, nine pistols, six revolvers and 791 assorted rounds of ammunition. They were found in goods shipped from the United States. Investigators theorised that the arms and ammunition were destined for a criminal network involved in the sale of weapons to criminals.

  1. And I bet this was not the first shipment he was receiving. How does he feel to see so many persons affected by his careless and greedy behaviour?

    1. Dem nuh care seh blood on dem hands and countless tears on their shoulders. They creating generational curses to follow their bloodline for generations to come and not even that knowledge can stop them because they only see the right now.

  2. He is not a customs officer, he is a temporary work at the port a straddle operator !!!!! A contract worker this is what happen when there is an influx of workers and due process isn’t done like st riu
