South Carolina released the dash cam video of Walter Scott’s traffic stop. The dash cam video shows Walter Scott talking to officer Michael Slager where he was asked for insurance documents and identification. Scott said he did not have them and officer Slager went to his car to check the license.
When Scott takes off, Slager could be heard shouting ”taser taser”. A video by a passerby showed further confrontation between the officer in which Scott was killed.
No visible threat was posed as was reported in the Slager’s report. The taser he had blamed Scott for taking was in his car and was used by him as the man ran.
