A businessman was shot dead by gunmen along Padmore Drive in Kingston on Thursday.
He has been identified as 51-year-old Mark Champagnie of Maverly in St Andrew.
Police report that Champagnie received a phone call and was summoned to Padmore Drive. Upon his arrival, two gunmen pounced and shot him several times. He died on the spot.
Cops from the Major Investigation Team are theorising that Champagnie was the victim of a contract killing.
