FAKE POLICE ROBBING PEOPLE

The police are urging the public to be on the look out for men who have been robbing persons while posing as members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force.

It’s reported that the men are dressed in fake police clothing and travel in a vehicle with flashing blue lights.

The men struck along East Kings House Road in St Andrew late Saturday and stopepd a businessman near the entrance to the Kings Gate Apartments.

He was robbed of a large amount of cash and his licensed firearm.

“We understand that he was approached by two men in a car, who said they were police officers. They demanded a search of the vehicle, it turns out that the men were not police officers. The man was releived of his firearm and over one million Jamaican dolalrs in cash. We are conducting investigations, we have confimed that these men were not police officers. We are folowing leads at the moment,” said Head of the Jamaica Constabulary Force Corporate Communications Unit, Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay.

She is urging persons to be on alert for the fake cops.

“When you are stopped, you need to be 100 percent sure that persons are in fact police officers and demand to see some form of indentigication> If they are in a marked police vehicle, the can call 119 to verify.” She said.

RJR News understands that several hours later the robbers struck in Meadowbrook, St Andrew.

  1. Ask for identification, by that word come out of the citizen mouth the thief are going to shoot them. Really officer.

  2. Wow. This seems to be a set up. Who would of knew he would be carry that much money. What would the outcome be for a person asking a so called officer for ID. I️ would be so scared. Poor citizens of jamaica

  3. Damn one ting after another, like the people don’t have nuff to deal with, killings now fake police officers, how more worse can the situation in Jamaica get!!! I believe Jamaica need to get with the times and change the way they do business, take some of the American way of doing things and get Jamaica up to the times, the way they do job interviews are so different from what I’m being told, the roads, get them fix and put lines and lights all over the place and it can probably stop all the damn honking that is going on around there… Put mirrors for the corners that no one can see get up to the damn times and make the streets safer.

  4. Jamaican Police don’t even have proper training cause dem not even procure dem ID when dem pull u over and if u ask dem fi it, dem probably box u dung n say u a style dem.
