RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil – Omar McLeod a short a while ago won Jamaica’s first gold medal in the 110m hurdles at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

McLeod, who dominated the race, ended in 13.05s

Orlando Ortega of Spain clocked 13.17s to nab the silver, while France’s Dimitri Bascou’s13.24s run gave him the bronze medal.

      USA have 3 gold medals thus far, 5 silver and 5 bronze
      Jamaica have 3 gold and 2 bronze and more to go
