A man is in police custody after members of the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch (PSTEB) foiled the robbery of a gas station in Kingston Monday morning.
Deputy Superintendent Errol Adams, Commanding Officer of the Public Safety Division at the PSTEB, says the incident occurred about 7:30.
He said workers at the Total gas station at the intersection of Windward Road and Victoria Avenue were held at gun point, taken inside the building and robbed.
A PSTEB unit, which was alerted to the incident chased and captured the robber.
Cash and an imitation firearm were reportedly taken from him.
