About 8 o’clock, a businessman was attacked by two armed men as he was walking to a bank. The men demanded money. The businessman raised an alarm and a security guard intervened. During a shootout involving the guard and the gunmen, one of the attackers was shot. His accomplice escaped. The injured gunman is under police guard in hospital.
