Corruption-accused Jack Warner said last night he heard on the news the United States government had sent his extradition papers.

However, he said, “For the guys hoping for me to leave tomorrow, you have 15 years to wait.”

Warner also said he will be providing the United States Embassy with documents showing Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar was bribed to prevent the extradition of businessmen Ishwar Galbaransingh and Steve Ferguson.

Warner made the statements as he addressed the Independent Liberal Party’s (ILP) political meeting in Diego Martin, which attracted a crowd of about 100 people.

“The sad thing about all of this is like you, I heard about it on the news. I was never even afforded the respect to be told before, and what for me is very painful is that the man who did that, the AG (Attorney General Garvin Nicholas), owes me $115,000.

“Yes, I gave him $15,000 by cheque and $100,000 in cash. So for that alone, he should at least tell me beforehand or give me back my money, nah, AG,” Warner said.

Evidence to be forwarded

He slammed Persad-Bissessar for labelling him a terrorist.

“What I will do for Kamla since I have all the evidence since I have so much evidence of the money Kamla received from Ish and Steve.

“I have evidence, I have dates, I have letters, I have audio, I have video; I have decided since I am a terrorist, I want her to be in the club, too.

Warner said he will forward the evidence to the acting Commissioner of Police, the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), the Integrity Commission, David West (director of the Police Complaints Authority), and the United States Embassy.

“I will take the fifth copy and carry it to the US Embassy and let the US Embassy see how Kamla, (Roodal) Moonilal, Devant Maharaj and Danny Solomon met in a house in Lange Park by Richardson Rampartap and where she collected cheques from Ish, with one particular cheque for $1 million. I will give it to the embassy.

“And if after I give it to the US Embassy, they don’t want to send Kamla’s extradition papers, then the US Embassy will be biased,” he said.

Warner said he was not leaving this country soon.

“I ain’t going a place from here. I going home,” Warner said.
