During the Election campaign , I met Lance, who expressed that his one wish was to get a wheelchair so he could move about freely. I made a commitment that I would assist him with obtaining his independence and am happy to have been able to surprise him with his brand new chair.
There are many children like Lance who are disabled. It is our duty to protect them, enable them, and integrate them as best as possible into society.
Our Government is committed to nurturing a society that values the contribution of everyone in nation building ,including those living with disabilities. We believe that enabling the disabled and making them independently productive, is as much a display of mental and social empowerment as it is a means of economic liberation . #ProsperityForAll
