Lowell Hawthorne the success behind the Golden Krust franchise was laid to rest today. Thousands of mourners poured into the Megachurch in Brooklyn today for the solemn and tearful funeral of the man who was remembered as God-fearing and compassionate. Hawthorne died on December 3, of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head at his company’s headquarters. As per the funeral’s printed program, he is said to have left behind a wife and four children.
