The man who was this morning named as a person of interest in relation to the murder of three-year-old Nevalisia Campbell is now in police custody.
Alexus Newland, otherwise called ‘Dal Dal’, of Milford, St Ann, was arrested in Alexandria in the parish, earlier today.
The police had given him until 5:00 pm to turn himself in to the Browns Town police.
The three-year-old’s body was discovered in bushes with chop wounds about 9:30 yesterday morning.
