Feeling Scammed!!! So I found this company on Facebook called HCA Jamaica that sells used phone. I read some reviews and did a little research on them and decided to get a phone from them. This is not my first time buying a refurbished phone, the last one I bought from another person was four years ago and it’s still in use. Now after a few days with this phone I noticed the screen would go pale now and then, I reported it to the dealer who assured me it was just a feature on the phone, since I don’t know much about phones I accepted that and moved on, I saved to treat myself to this upgraded phone and today am without a phone less than four months. The phone went blank three times the last time it did that it never came back on, I reported it to the dealer and he had me drop it off at his technician. After a few days I was told that the phone has corroded and it needs a new screen valued at $35,000 while discussing this with the dealer I was told it was only a one month warranty(my bad for not knowing that earlier) and after letting him know how careful I was with the phone and that I never had it near water, he was trying to convince me that it probably sweat in the case 😕, would Samsung design a phone such as the S6 edge plus to be able to sweat in a case and corrode?.
I asked him what’s the next step what will he do to compensate me and he said he can only offer a $5000 discount on the next phone am buying from him. Smart move heh? I found a place that will fix the phone for less and I asked the dealer to stand $5000 of the repair cost. He said he can’t and it’s nothing personal it’s just business. Now because persons like me cannot afford to buy brand new phones we are being scammed by these dealers, they bitch up a phone and sell us knowing well that it won’t last long. I know persons are going to say I should not have bought a refurbished phone but it’s what some of us can afford and to think this is a businessman and he was not willing to compensate $5000 from a phone he sold for $39,000.if my phone was lost or stolen I would not have felt scammed but God be with you Hayden Crumbie and I pray people will read and share this so they won’t become a victim like I did

I purchase phones from him on two occasions and didn’t have any issues, i even gave referrals. I will still do business with him whenever needs necessary.

Anything bought used, is bought at your own risk. Used items are sold as is.
You buy it used…. and cheap… some will win, some will lose… its like buying some stuff from China , if it last its a deal, if it breaks you feel let down.. but its the risk you take when you don’t go for price over quality
So true christie but some phone dealers are real crooks had a bad experience with one in Winchester Business Centre. I can say though Phone World in Port Henderson Plaza, Portmore is very reputable try there next time.
Its best if u had bought it online cheaper and paid the clearance…u were ripped off so u just have to stand the loss… majority of scammers like him use social media to reel in their victims… i bought a brand new samsung j8 with free 32gig memory card plus a case for $202 US on amazon and i paid $5300 to clear it. Still cheaper than what u paif for the second hand phone u purchased. In all i paid $33,500 and i have a brand new phone with free memory card and headphones aand original charger
I agree with just buying one… I bought a brand new s6 edge plus a year ago for $35k.
