RPN (Registered Practical Nurse) is a two year diploma program and RN (Registered Nurse) is a 4 year university degree program. BTW all three are employed by hospitals in Canada. Who cares which of the three a person chooses to study. It takes hard work to progress in the healthcare field. Today you can be a PSW and in no time you upgrade to an RN should you care to return to school. Stop putting people down who make an honest living. zeesh
