SALVATION IS A DIVINE PRIVILEGE -GOOD MORNING

SALVATION IS A DIVINE PRIVILEGE

But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth. 2Thessalonians 2:13

The woman caught in adultery was dragged to Jesus and the people invoked the laws of Moses against her. But the Lord simply bowed down His head and began writing on the sand after He asked anyone who had not sinned to cast the first stone. The crowd slowly left the scene and when they had all gone Jesus forgave the woman and asked her to go and sin no more. The woman with the alabaster box was an infamous prostitute who was despised by her own people. She came looking for redemption at the feet of the Master who was being hosted by a respectable citizen of the town. Not even the snide remarks of the people could stop the Redeemer from reforming her destiny; her story will be told whenever the story of Christ is being told.

These women were however not as close to the Lord as Judas Iscariot who was His disciple and treasurer; they certainly did not know the Lord as closely and intimately as Judas did. But Judas could not find the grace to repent and ask for redemption like they did. Instead he committed suicide. Please note that all the three people I have mentioned committed sins but only two of them found the grace and courage to repent.

The same scenario plays out today; people are dying and going to hell because they fail to repent from their sins while others are being saved from the bondage of sin and death because they found the grace to joyfully receive and believe the message of salvation. You are one of those who found the grace to believe the gospel of salvation. Many carelessly shunned the evangelist who was sent to rescue them moments before they were wiped out by the devil. Some come from a lineage that has been spelled to reject righteousness and programmed to serve wicked idols who reign with terror over their lives. But you had the opportunity to be preached and ministered to by devoted men and women who did not give up on you; God has surrounded you with fathers in the faith who labour until this day for the salvation, redemption and prosperity of your spirit, soul and body. You can never thank God enough for such a blessing.

Liberation thought: I have a repentant heart

Further reading: Psalm 103:1-18

Prayer:

I reject every power that makes one to remain a stubborn sinner like Judas Iscariot
I receive the grace and power for a repentant heart in Jesus mighty name
I thank you Lord for forgiving my sins.
