Lawyers for the female biker who was seen in a video being body slammed by a policeman along the Mandela Highway last month, will be applying to the court to throw out the charges against her.

Laurie Radlin Moroso was charged with assault occasioning bodily harm, resisting arrest and malicious destruction of property following the incident which has gone viral.

Mrs Moroso appeared before the St. Andrew Parish Court Thursday to answer the charges.

However, the arresting officer sought to have the matter removed from the court’s list for a later date.

This was strongly opposed by Mrs Moroso’s attorney, Christopher Townsend, who argued that his client was summoned before the court on Thursday and so she was obligated to appear.

“The judge instructed the clerk to list the matter before her and ordered the police to make sure that they have the file there tomorrow morning,” he told RJR News.

The Inspectorate of Constabulary announced last weekend that the two cops seen in the video are being investigated

  1. The JCF needs a complete overhaul that’s y dem neva want Adams come back . Adams regime have THIS kinda strength fi bad man ..u know the ones wey ah rape and murder people pickney …not for petty “criminals” and certainly not women.

Ole police bwoy go SYM! Some ah unu have no strength @ home and come tek out unu frustration ah road .

  2. She look like a man and probable was acting a fool. So why wouldn’t he treat her like a man.

Why say, dress and act like you are a man and then when you start getting beating from a man…..then cry woman. These ppl confused much. Some are nice but the majority of them too damn vulgar.

  3. If you act and look like a man, you will be treated as such. Police do not discriminate when it comes to carrying out their duties. She wouldn’t be treated that way if she obey the law and follow instructions.

  4. The same outrage should apply if it were a man. FK the double standard since there is no ‘weaker’ sex or gender. Police should not abuse citizens – point blank.

Plus the biker may not identify as female – prolly one out of the other 29 to 31 gender types that they have in NY.
