UPDATE: Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay transferred from post of CCU boss to the St. Andrew Central Police following claims that info re US gun find was inadvertantly & prematurely released by CCU on twitter. Probe underway. Sources close to her insist she did nothing wrong.
The transfer of Superintendent Lindsay is quite an unfortunate thing because JCF’s communication has been at the best it has ever been since she took charge of the CCU. Previously, lack of good communication was a bane of the Constabulary.

  1. We need some independent Journalist to really out these evil government officials who destroy Jamaica!! Time we as Jamaican start fixing the problem because things only a get worst

  2. Isn’t Abka Fitz-Henley‏ associated with Nationwide News, which some has labeled the communication arm of the JLP? Isn’t it the same Nationwide News Organization who lost a multi-million lawsuit when its principal elect to defame P. J. Patterson, the former Prime Minister of Jamaica with fake news? Isn’t Abka Fitz-Henley‏ the individual leaking the names of the alleged Consignee and Consignor of the arms shipment to the general public, when no other journalist or news organization was doing so? Isn’t it Abka Fitz-Henley‏ who was confusing the names, assigning the incorrect name to the Consignee and the Consignor? Isn’t it the same Abka Fitz-Henley‏ who was maliciously trying to tie the PNP to the arms shipment, when no ties exist? Now it is stated that the arm shipment was destined for a Montego Bay based gang associated with a Entertainer? All of a sudden, Abka Fitz-Henley‏ has gone silent about the arms shipment, after a flurry of twitter releases about the perceived PNP ties?

Now, with his credibility at a all-time low, he wants us to believe the JCF is in cahoots with politicians to transfer senior officers who are attempting to expose politicians who are corrupt/dirty. Hmmmmm

  3. You can out them Met. I’ve been a Metter now for 2 years and I will say that your reporting is as unbiased as it is relevant. You have the support of all of us. But then again like you said, you may become a target. We just get f@*k.

    1. Its like this, you can out them but it will be at cost of your life if youre a journalist in Jamaica and if you are not killed there will be no repercussions for their corrupt actions. So at the end of the day the journalist will have to ask themself if its worth it. Right now the PRIME MINISTER’S name is being called on some serious stuff. Im hoping that the person left some documentation that will connect him to what happened but even if its put out both parties will come together and push it under the rug.

      1. So true . If u call name u either dead or nothing is done. And the people who vote don’t really care dem still going to vote for their party.

So why risk your life ?

It’s like many pastors and their congregation. The plaster could kill someone they will blame the devil and stand by the pastor . Smh

  4. Met, I think somebody like you can shed light on what really going on in Jamaica! I hope the day will come when we as people start setting standards and hold these criminal in office accountable!!
