The police are now searching for the father of a three-year-old girl whose lifeless body was found floating at the Dump Up Beach in St James this morning.
Head of the St James police, Senior Superintendent Steve McGregor says the child was with her mother in Flower Hill in the parish when her father came and took her at about eight last night.
According to reports, the man threatened to kill the child and then himself.
The child’s mother made a report to the Montego Bay police, and a search was launched immediately.
However, the child was not found until this morning.
She was found with her throat slashed.
A crowd of angry protestors converged on the scene after nine this morning.
