A gardener accused of abducting a little boy had his bail revoked when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.

Dwayne Williams pleaded not guilty to charges of abduction, child stealing and assault occasioning bodily harm.

It is alleged that on June 6, at approximately 2:20pm, the child was on Barbican Road when a motor vehicle stopped at his feet.

The accused man allegedly grabbed him, forced him into the vehicle and placed a scandal bag over his head, before driving off.

The minor was reportedly pushed and kicked out of the motor vehicle along Hope Road, St Andrew, in the vicinity of Jamaica College.

When the complainant’s mother appeared in court, she told the judge that she had a three-month relationship with the accused man and that she had not seen him in more than a year.

“Why should you be readmitted to bail?” Pusey asked.

“What is joke to you is death to me,” she added.

Williams was subsequently remanded in custody.
