LEARNING TO FORGIVE-GOOD MORNING

ForgiveHeart-Jessica_Key

In order for God to intervene in your affairs like you’ve been asking him to, you must release any and all affiliations with that particular matter especially from the negative angle you’ve been approaching and handling it from.

What is the sense in asking God to fix your situation if you’re always talking about it from a negative perspective. Even more so your discussions are always in opposition of what you’re asking God to do in that matter.

Here is what you should be doing, after asking God’s will for that particular situation, now ask him to assist you with forgiving those that have hurt you, disappointed you, lied on you or whatever in relationship to that matter they’ve done to you. Now, you may say, “Well, Kevin, I have no malice, bitterness or unforgiveness towards those folks”. Well, this may be true according to you but why is it that whenever that person/s name comes up in any conversation you automatically become upset or hostile? You see my friend, you must clear “YOU” if it is your desire for God to work for you! It is simple as that.

Let’s see what scripture has to say in support of this understanding, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me” Psalm 66:18. “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear” Isaiah 59:2.

My friend, I don’t know about you but I need God to not only hear me but work for me and scripture has made it abundantly clear that that CANNOT happen if I have it in for those that have dealt with me unjustly.

Lord, we ask you to help us in removing the stubborn stains of unforgiveness, bitterness, disappointment and whatever else from our hearts that’s causing you to turn a deaf ear to our request. Father, from a human perspective it is difficult not to mention or speak frequently of the hurt and pain that others have inflicted on us but your word assures us that with you all things are possible, Therefore,we are asking you, to wash away the hurt, pain and whatever else that’s hindering your response to us; help us “CLEAR US” of the evil we are retaining in our hearts for others so that you can now work on our behalf in the name of your son and our savior Jesus Christ. Amen!
