14 students caught having sex in house

Up to press time last night, the Duhaney Park police were still processing 14 high school students whom they caught engaging in sexual activities at a house in Cooreville Gardens, St Andrew, yesterday afternoon.

Superintendent of Police Enid Ross, who heads the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA), told THE STAR that the children, whose ages range from 12 to 14 years, were found about 5:30 p.m. at the home of one of the boys.

She said two couples admitted to having sex with each other at the house, while the others denied engaging in the activity. Ross noted that no sexual offence charges will be laid against the four students who had sex as they are all underage and have admitted to being couples.

However, all 14 students will be hauled before the Family Court today, along with their parents, on charges of being in need of care and protection.

Children’s Advocate Diahann Gordon Harrison has expressed disappointment at the incident and said a team from her office is also investigating the matter.

  1. Put them in care let them feel it .Worthless, parents trying their best and these ungrateful children undermining the efforts.

  2. All young children have cellphones and access to the internet and porn. Even this site post sexually explicit videosand images at times. These children are being bombarded daily from TV, video games, music, internet and magazines with sexual images. Parenting in 2016 is very different from parenting in 1970. Parents have to really work now to protect their children. Parents cannot afford to do the lazy parenting of yesteryear. When the society is dysfunctional and not under any order then the children will have to become one with it.

All I can say is thank God I grew up pon one TV and only one channel weh lock off at 11PM nightly. Two radio stations that played clean music, one telephone in the house, or telephone booth a road. Yep, things were slower paced but the brain and mind developed at the right pace. Right yah now mi a look fi go off grid cause peace and tranquility hawd fi find in present day technology focused society. I caan even tell when last me see di stars in dem full nightly glory.

I wish them all the best, and hope the families get some therapy.
